Australia is in for a data-light trading week this week. Does that mean that countercurrency moves would have more weight for the Aussie?
Here’s a list of events that might affect the comdoll’s price action:
Assistant Governor speeches
Over the next couple of days, we’ll see Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Assistant Governors Luci Ellis (Mar 25, 10:15 pm GMT) and Christopher Kent (Mar 27, 12:00 am GMT) give speeches.
Note that Ellis is head honcho in Economics and Kent is all about Financial Markets so traders will pay close attention to what they have to say.
In addition to that, RBA Assistant Governor Michele Bullock moving the Aussie last week with her remarks on housing and lack of other major economic reports from Australia will add to the spotlight for Ellis and Kent this week.
Stick around in case they give any market-moving remarks over the next few days!
Overall risk sentimentIn case you missed last week’s price action review, then you should know that the Aussie still took cues from countercurrency price action despite Australia popping out top-tier reports.
This week pay attention to trade balance reports from New Zealand, Canada, and the U.S.; FOMC members’ speeches, and lower-tier reports that could help shape the global growth picture.
