Good morning! EUR/USD took a dive without hitting my short orders at 1.4500. With the US GDP data coming up, along with the weekend, I have decided to close my open orders on this trade idea.

As I mentioned last week, the trend-catcher isn’t really doing that great. But before I bid it farewell, let’s take a look at how it performed this week.

I get a lot of questions about my chart set up, indicators, 34EMA Wave, GRaB…so I put together this short (15 minute) video to walk you through pretty much everything.

What the heck. For the third straight week, the forward-testing of the new trial system “HLHB Trend-Catcher” was an epic fail. I think it’s time to make some changes.

I got what I expected from UK data yesterday, unfortunately it wasn’t the market driver I had hoped it would be as traders turned strong US Dollar bearish throughout the European and US trading sessions. Not so good for short Cable trade.

Last week, I stayed clear of yen pairs as I was concerned that the BOJ would do more to weaken the yen. Looking back, there was a really nice short setup on GBP/JPY that resulted in a 250-pip move! Drats!

Whew! Talk about a close call! With the SNB rocking the markets with a verbal intervention, EUR/CHF shot up over 300 pips yesterday! Good thing I locked in some pips!

I must admit, the new trial “HLHB Trend-Catcher” isn’t looking very well. All four signals it generated this week ended up as losers. It didn’t filter out any of the fake outs as EUR/USD simply range. If this were a real account, I would already be down a whopping 4%.

You can’t talk about crude without considering that crude oil is the KING of commodities. Yes, that includes gold. Think of it this way. Try to think about any aspect of your life that does not include crude oil in some way. If anything is grown or delivered, crude oil played a role.
