So close, yet so far! EUR/JPY came within 10 pips of my profit target but decided to turn back and bump me out at breakeven. Drats!

The sideways chop on the U.S. Dollar continues as the index was rejected from the 76.50 level for the third time since late-May. What does this mean for your trading and how can you handle the summer chop?

What’s crackin’ fellas? Aside from this wicked sick setup on GBP/JPY, that is! If you were brave enough to short the pair prior to the release of the MPC meeting minutes, you could’ve walked away with a quick 6:1 trade!

And once again, my HLHB system missed out on all the action in the charts this week. Boo! But my USD/CHF trade did pull a win! I’d say this was a decent week overall!

You know how people tell their stories of love at first sight? Well, it was like that with my USD/CHF trade. But I think it’s more apt to describe my feeling as short at first sight. I hope I don’t end up getting my heart broken like yesterday with my missed EUR/USD trade.

Nice price action in Cable during the Wednesday session and the good news is that it looks like my gut was somewhat right on how the market played out. The bad news is that I may have been TOO conservative on my entry…doh!

I’m doing it again. I’m going to buy the dip! This time, however, it’s gonna be EUR/USD. While my plan on GBP/USD didn’t work out too well last week, I’m hoping this time I’ll get lucky!

Woooo! The 132.00 resistance on GBP/JPY held up as strongly as Rory McIlroy’s fine play in the U.S. Open!

How did I do this week? Well, let me just say I’ve had better weeks. I suffered a 0.5% loss and my HLHB system missed a 150-pip rally. But it’s all good! I mean, it could have been worse, right? Here’s a recap of my performance this week.

USD/JPY failed to make any moves lower during Thursday’s session, so it’s no trade for me as I closed my orders and the end of US trading.

Since my trades haven’t been going well for me lately, I decided to take a breather and create a way for me and my fellow comdoll traders to share trade ideas. What’s more, I’ll be posting a trade idea each day! Introducing… my Happy Comdoll Corners!

Forget looking for long setups on the euro… In times like these, I’m only looking to do one thing with it – sell, sell, sell!

Surprise, surprise! The U.K. Claimant Count Change came out worse than expected yesterday, which resulted in a drop in Cable. In addition to that, risk aversion hit the spotlight again as EU finance ministers failed to come to a conclusion regarding Greece’s bailout.

Well, that was quick! We did see volatility in EUR/JPY during the afternoon Asia session, enough to push the pair higher, but not enough to trigger my short orders before dropping…doh! Since the pair didn’t play out exactly as I hoped, I closed my open orders.

It’s been almost a week since I opened this trade, but it’s finally over! I was able to walk away with 61 pips in my pocket. Come see how it all went down!

I’ve been a tad too conservative with my entries for the past three weeks. But when I kicked it old school and listened to Grover Washington Jr. Today, I learned that “Things come to those who wait but not for those who wait too long.”

As I mentioned in my Comdoll Weekly Replay, AUD/USD had a 300-pip run last week. Unfortunately, my long trade was on the wrong side of the fence. That’s another loss from trading AUD/USD! Boo hoo

I’ve been thinking about this for a while… I mean there are so many amazing and interesting historical figures and it makes me wonder how they would fare in trading currencies if retail forex trading existed before.
