Last week, I stayed clear of yen pairs as I was concerned that the BOJ would do more to weaken the yen. Looking back, there was a really nice short setup on GBP/JPY that resulted in a 250-pip move! Drats!

Hey guys! This week I decided to take some time to evaluate what kind of trader I am. I took one of the brand-spankin-new personality quizzes from the School of Pipsology! Do we share the same personality?

Whew! Talk about a close call! With the SNB rocking the markets with a verbal intervention, EUR/CHF shot up over 300 pips yesterday! Good thing I locked in some pips!

I must admit, the new trial “HLHB Trend-Catcher” isn’t looking very well. All four signals it generated this week ended up as losers. It didn’t filter out any of the fake outs as EUR/USD simply range. If this were a real account, I would already be down a whopping 4%.

You can’t talk about crude without considering that crude oil is the KING of commodities. Yes, that includes gold. Think of it this way. Try to think about any aspect of your life that does not include crude oil in some way. If anything is grown or delivered, crude oil played a role.

I can’t believe I missed my entry again! This USD/CAD trade setup was really valid but I guess I was just too conservative with my buy orders. How I could’ve played it instead?

So, how bout them markets? It was a wild one today and on top of the extreme volatility, it wasn’t a good day for me as I let what could have been a great trade turn into a sour one.

Dang! Looks like I should have closed out earlier! With oil dropping almost 10% last week, the Canadian dollar got trashed across the charts, forcing my EUR/CAD position to hit its stop loss!

It’s more important than ever to get clarity on market trends. Without a clear methodology to identify a trend and also corrections in the trend, trend trading would be impossible.

Once again, AUD/USD bagged the “Best Setup for the Week” award as it presented a 21-to-1 return on risk opportunity. Oh, and don’t forget to give happy snaps to my newest BFF as well!

If you had shorted GBP/JPY at the right place and at the right time last week, you could’ve taken home a legendary 27:1 winner! And you wouldn’t have even had to rely on the BOJ intervention, too!

Aaah, it’s been a while since I had this giddy feeling. My short EUR/USD trade turned out to be a winner, reeling me in 163 pips and a 0.5% gain. Whoohoo!

Aaah, it’s that time of the week again! I hope y’all are ready for my first update on the HLHB Trend Catcher system.

Well that was quick! The Swiss National Bank came out with a statement basically saying that the Swiss Franc is “massively overvalued” and won’t take it anymore! Needless to say, that is Swissy bearish in a big way. Check out how my day trade played out!

With AUD/USD giving me no lovin’, I decided to hunt for setups on other comdolls instead. I spotted this nice descending channel on USD/CAD and I think I’m gonna go with the flow this time. Check out my short trade idea!

I have to confess something. Are you ready? Well, I kinda earned zero dollars on this trade. I basically closed at a loss because I was afraid price was going against me. Instead of earning a huge amount of pips, I ended up with a 0.50% loss!

With all the choppiness on EUR/JPY and GBP/JPY, there were no clear-cut setups on either of those pairs. That’s why for last week’s Weekly Winner, the best setup was on an old friend, EUR/GBP!
