How’s it going, guys? Are you ready to see which comdoll pair showed the most profitable trade last week? I’ll give you a clue – it sported a 5:1 reward-to-risk setup that would’ve given us a total of 300 pips!

With the push from Wednesday’s rally, the corrections in the trends on the U.S. Dollar Index and EUR/USD have triggered. Now the question is that has the RISK APPETITE of Wednesday exhausted?

Remember that signal I pointed out last week? Well, the second position closed with another 147-pip gain! However, none of the 5 signals for this week that materialized on my HLHB Trend-Catcher ended as a winner though.

New trade setup, new directional bias! Given all the developments in the foreign exchange market, I have decided to change my bias to bullish from bearish.

It’s been over a week since I set my orders for this setup and I still haven’t gotten triggered. With price drifting farther away from my desired entry point, I think it’s time to call it quits!

So much for wishing and waiting! After finding support at the 1.0200 area, USD/CAD bounced right back to my entry point and rallied even higher. Thank goodness I moved my stop to breakeven!

Last week, I ranted on how the HLHB Trend-Catcher was a terrible system as doesn’t seem to filter out whipsaws. Then, out of nowhere, it gave me two amazing trades this week! Nevertheless, I believe the system can still be greatly improved, and I’ll stick with my decision to change completely or tweak it in 2012.
