Another week of just a few signals USD/CAD and CAD/CHF! Was the system able to score some more pips?
In this revised version of the Short-Term Bollinger Reversion Strategy, I’m waiting for RSI to cross above or below oversold or overbought levels to indicate a bit more momentum in the direction of the trade. Make sure you review the tweaks here!
USD/CAD had a short signal but this failed to hit the middle of the band before popping higher to hit the stop loss.
Soon after a long signal materialized on a test of the bottom band, and fortunately some pips were locked in and the stop was adjusted to entry before that sharp drop.
Here’s how the signals turned out:
CAD/CHF had a long signal early in the week, and it hit the middle band at a lower price than entry, snagging a tiny loss before the rest of the position was closed at breakeven.
And here’s how it ended up:
So that’s a 31-pip or 0.62% loss for the Short-Term Bollinger Reversion Strategy! That caps off its positive streak from a strong start in April. One more month to recover before I crunch the quarterly numbers!
