Another day, another update for the Happy Hunter Trading System! So, how did the two Variants fare in the most recent hunt?
Well, they both fared very poorly, just to be blunt about it. Just take a look at how choppy price action was on August 23.

Also, the day’s range was only a measly 74 pips, but many of the candles were 30-40 pips in height. There was even one that was 50 pips in height. And that made it really hard to reach TP or even trigger the conditions for moving SL to SW.
So, yeah, trading conditions were really bad on August 23. It was so bad that not a single trade was a winner. Not. A. Single. One.
Worse, the capital preservation rules only activated on half of them, so the losses on the day were rather substantial, which means it’s time to bring out this meme once again.

Anyhow, the Fixed TP Variant is now barely holding on since it’s now only up by 0.81% for the month. It was up by 3.26% previously, so you now have an idea as to how painful it was. As for the Trailing Variant, it’s now only up by 1.68% for the month. It was up by 4.14% previously.

By the way, if you’re a first-time reader and have no idea what this is all about, then just know that I’m forward testing a purely mechanical trading system.
And if you find that interesting, then you may wanna click on the links below to read about and understand the rules of the system.

Also, if you’re wondering what the numbers on the charts are about, they refer to the trade #, based on the chronological order when the signal was generated, not necessarily when the trade was executed.
Oh, also note that you can find the details of each trade in the tables below the chart. If the table is too small to read, just remember that you can click on it to enlarge it.
