Another day, another update for the Happy Hunter Trading System! So, how did the two Variants fare in the most recent hunt?
Well, the steady uptrend that started on April 24 extended its run into April 25. And the system was able to generate three trades in the direction of the trend while successfully filtering out would-be losers.
Unfortunately, the uptrend began to falter and there just wasn’t enough intraday volatility to reach TP, so one trade (# 108) closed for a small gain at SW while the other two (# 109 and 110) closed with losses after being profitable at some point.
The damage could have been bigger, though. Thankfully, the other condition for moving SL to RSL was met, so both losing trades didn’t suffer full losses.
The limited volatility also meant that the Trailing Variant’s open trades (# 104, 105, 106, and 107) all closed out at only marginally better prices compared to yesterday’s update.
Anyhow, it’s kinda sad to see the Fixed TP Variant’s gains shrink from +2.60% to +2.04%. The Trailing Variant, meanwhile, is now on course to ending the month with a 1.55% loss (-1.11% previous).

By the way, if you’re a first-time reader and have no idea what this is all about, then just know that I’m forward testing a purely mechanical trading system.
And if you find that interesting, then you may wanna click on the links below to read about and understand the rules of the system.

Also, if you’re wondering what the numbers on the charts are about, they refer to the trade #, based on the chronological order when the signal was generated, not necessarily when the trade was executed.
Oh, also note that you can find the details of each trade in the tables below the chart. If the table is too small to read, just remember that you can click on it to enlarge it.
