This is actually a short-term intraday swing entry that is setting up what I call a “one-thing-leads-to-another”. If the pressure can continue towards the area between 1.0110 and 1.0995 this fifteen pip area will be a cushion from which buyers could rally the market since there is still a sideways range on the daily.

It looks like I got the price action I was hoping for as Cable pulled back just enough to trigger half of my orders to go long. With the help of today’s announcement from the Bank of England on interest rates and their bond buying program, we got to see another retest of 1.6000.

Bah! I was already up by almost 50 pips when USDCAD decided to break below the support of the range on the 4-hour chart.

Bahhh! Looks like I got caught up in false breakout! I got stopped out but that rising trend line still seems to be holding.

As I’ve pointed out to one of my readers, while I did get the direction right, my limit order was missed by 9 pips. I’m not really feeling bummed about it because I know that there will be other trading setups for me to take.
