Why Traders Care
The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) is an indicator of inflation and price stability for the European Central Bank (ECB). It reflects the region's overall inflation. Price increases give the central bank more reason to raise the interest rate. A high reading is usually considered bullish for the EUR.
