USD comes out a net winner, arguably on a mix of negative global risk sentiment driving safe havens & the possibility of the U.S. economy slowly reopening. 

Sterling was easily the biggest loser of the week, hit with negative economic updates, speculation of an extended lockdown, & risk-off sentiment at the start of the week.

Global risk sentiment was the name of the game for the euro & franc this week, prompting an early rise against the risk currencies on crashing oil prices, then reversing later as oil rebounded for a net loss on Friday.

The Canadian dollar was beaten up all week thanks to the historic drop in oil prices and a round of net negative updates from Canadaa. 

Mixed performance in NZD, spending time in the red on early negative risk sentiment & disappointing data from NZ, before bouncing back on positive risk sentiment into the weekend. 

AUD takes the top spot this week, rallying on improving risk sentiment after the oil crash & on Australia’s relatively strong performance against the coronavirus.

The Japanese yen comes out as a net winner thanks to an early week spike higher global risk aversion fears & despite more weak Japanese data.
