Awww, it looks like the bulls have returned! After I closed the first half of my position at 1.3000, price immediately reversed and returned to my entry point. A win is a win though, so I guess I should be happy.

I know some of you are more than eager to hear my updates so I won’t make you wait any longer. I’ll tell you all the details of my EUR/USD trade, how my HLHB Trend Catcher fared last week, and what happened to the cause of my personal dilemma!

Even though my system was down last week, I still consider it a good one as my system was able to filter out a lot of bad trades. I guess it just goes to show that the Trend-Catcher’s RSI filter really is working!

The performance of the HLHB Trend-Catcher 3.0, in a word, was AWESOME! It garnered a grand total of 1,004 pips. For a truly mechanical system, it’s amazing!

Overall, the first quarter of 2012 was very harsh to me. I had 10 total triggered trades for the period – four ended up as winners while the remaining six were all losers.

This week was a very bad one for the HLHB Trend-Catcher 3.0. The pair ranged, and the RSI was only able to filter out two of the many, many fakeouts. As a result, my system endured a minor loss.

It looks like the uptrend on EUR/USD is still intact so I jumped in and bought the pair at market! Will the trend be my friend this time?

Am I stubborn or what? Despite GBP/USD going my way TWO times, I chose to keep my position until I hit my profit targets.

EUR/USD didn’t trend this week, so there was really nothing for my HLHB Trend-Catcher system to catch. Boo! On the positive side of things though, I am up on my GBP/USD trade. Yay!

Boy was I right on the money about going against the trend this time! But sadly, my trade didn’t work out as well as I hoped it would.
