There was a clear downtrend on Dec. 26, but intraday price action was very choppy, so some losing trades were triggered. And unfortunately, the winners were just not able to offset the losers.

Just finished crunching the numbers for the SMA Crossover Pullback system! Did Q4 fare better than Q3 2018? And how did it go for the year?

It’s Christmas season but the market wasn’t in a giving mood since liquidity and volatility were both in short supply on Dec. 24, which resulted in choppy price action. And naturally, some losing trades were triggered.

It was an unfortunate week for the HLHB System, which saw tons of fakeouts and a strong trend that went in the opposite direction of an open position. Here’s what happened.

Greetings, fellow Happy Hunters! The trading week is done and a new one will soon begin, which means that it’s time to take stock of how the two Variants of the Happy Hunter Price Action Trading System fared this past week.

There was an uptrend on December 21 and the system was able to generate a bunch of trades in the direction of that uptrend, which enabled both Variants to recover some lost ground.

GBP/NZD began trading sideways in a tight range during the later half of Dec. 20. And unfortunately, a bunch of losing trades were triggered, forcing both Variants to return some gains.

There was a strong uptrend during the later half of Dec. 19, which enabled the Trailing Variant to hit a fresh high water mark of +6.04% for the month. As for the Fixed TP Variant, it did well enough.

One more weekly update on this mechanical trading strategy before I start running the numbers for Q4. Did this pull off a strong finish?

GBP/NZD’s price action on Dec. 18 was a choppy mess for the most part, which resulted in a bunch of losers and forced both Variants to surrender large chunks of their gains. Boo hoo!

This mech system had another mixed run as it caught a few wins but snagged a couple of losses. Did it end up positive overall?

GBP/NZD’s price action on December 17 was rather choppy, but the Fixed TP Variant survived well enough and was even able to eke out a small gain. The same can’t be said for the Trailing Variant, though.

More choppy price action for the euro pairs and yet another signal-free week for Cable! Can this system pull off a positive finish before the holidays?

Faked out again! Thanks to a particularly disappointing signal, the HLHB System was set back by a net of 135 pips. What’s up with that?!

Both Variants of the (very) Happy Hunter Trading System had a good time on December 14, so much so that both Variants even hit fresh high water marks for the month.

GBP/NZD traded sideways on December 13, but both Variants of the Happy Hunter Trading System managed to come out ahead for the day.

The Happy Hunter Trading System turned in a mixed performance on December 12 since the Fixed TP Variant was forced to return some hard-won gains, while the Trailing Variant got a nice profit boost.
