Are these pairs back in Chopsville? The latest batch of positions were quickly stopped out, but I’m staying hopeful for the freshly opened ones. Take a look!
If this is the first time you’re reading about the SMA Crossover Pullback system, make sure you look at the trading rules and risk management adjustments first.
EUR/USD had a long position from the earlier update, but this also hit its full stop loss before any early exit signals materialized. A short entry signal soon followed.

Cable also had a long position from the other week but, just like it’s buddy EUR/USD, this also wound up hitting the 150-pip stop before a new crossover formed. A new short position was opened afterwards.

Since EUR/JPY already hit its trailing stop on the short position the other week, it wasn’t able to stay in this steady downtrend. Oh well, at least it didn’t chalk up a loss like the other two!

Here are the latest positions:
Trade Summary:
Pair | Position | Entry | SL | PT | Status | P/L (pips) | P/L (%) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
GBP/USD | Long | 1.4041 | 1.3891 | 1.4341 | Closed | -150 | -1.00 |
EUR/USD | Long | 1.2433 | 1.2383 | 1.2733 | Closed | -150 | -1.00 |
GBP/USD | Short | 1.3970 | 1.4120 | 1.3670 | Open | – | – |
EUR/USD | Short | 1.2345 | 1.2495 | 1.2045 | Open | – | – |
Bah! That makes it a 300-pip dent or a 2.00% loss on the account for the week!
The silver lining, however, is that EUR/JPY didn’t fall prey to range-bound market conditions. Then again, I’m still bummed out that this yen pair wasn’t able to grab more pips from the selloff since it had an early exit signal a few days back. And now, the system has a couple of long dollar positions on Cable and EUR/USD, so I’m still a bit worried that both could end up either winners or losers… again.
