Ayayay! My Trend Catcher System 3.0 raked in a handful of fakeouts as EUR/USD was stuck in a consolidation for the most part of the week.

Good afternoon! It looks like the market moved in my favor as Cable rallied and briefly touched my short order level before moving back below the 1.5700. See how it my day played out.

The market didn’t really move in the direction of the overall trend and as a result I didn’t get any valid signals. See how it all went down in today’s Cowabunga Surf Report.

This is a look at the USD/CAD as it rocketed higher in the midst of what has to be considered still a bearish environment. I discuss the set ups – both short and long-term – that I am watching and the reason for my hesitancy to get too bullish.

Sadly, the potential head-and-shoulders pattern didn’t work out and ended up as a loser. It appears that I picked the wrong pair, as it was against the pound where the dollar rallied strongly, and not versus the franc. Drats!

A repeat of last week’s big winner just wasn’t in the cards for me. EUR/GBP finally bust out of its range and broke through resistance at .8400. Boy, am I glad I scaled down my risk!
