Why Traders Care
The survey can be an early indicator of activity levels in the manufacturing sector. Purchasing managers have the highest authority to spend in a company as they usually have significant insight into their company's economic outlook. More purchases reflect great confidence in their company's financial stability which directly affects employment growth, income and other indicators. A figure higher than 50 means that the sector is expanding.

Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you. Sandberg Carl
