The morning London session was rather subdued, likely because traders are keeping their heads down ahead of the FOMC statement. There were some directional movements, though.

As if this week’s central bank roster isn’t enough, fresh tariff threats added to the volatility seen during the Asian trading session.

The Greenback brought sexy back, boosted by mostly upbeat U.S. economic figures ahead of the FOMC meeting, but the Loonie put up a stronger fight.

The pound and the euro battled for supremacy during the session, with the pound coming out on top (for now). The yen, meanwhile, continued its journey into negative territory.

A pretty eventful trading session for most of the major currencies, as a mix of economic releases and domestic updates rocked the forex arena.

Major currencies were all over the place as the lower-yielding franc held on to the top spot while the dollar and yen lagged far behind. Comdolls were also mixed.

Price action was a bit choppy during the morning London session. However, the euro and the Swissy were clearly moving in one direction – up. The pound, meanwhile, was broadly lower.

It’s the start of the month and you know what that means – it’s time to watch the Donald’s tweets for clues on major economic releases! Kidding. It’s NFP and FOMC week, y’all!
