There are quite a few concepts that I discussed this week in my “Forex in Focus” talk…I do this every week and while I go through the current market view, I also try to share some of the overarching themes that guide my pair selection and my trade

If you were rocked/surprised/knocked off your/feet or simply shrugged at the dollar’s tumble down the backside of the mountain, you now know that the complexion of the taper scenario has changed, but truly has much else?

For the most part my book continues to rely on the AUD weakness, along with the CAD and NZD. However all there comm-dolls are not equally as week, in fact, most of my emphasis is on the AUD and CAD.

While the focus of my trading is still on pairs and markets with Directional Bias, there are times when non-trending charts are in play and therefore there’s movement that we want to trade…but how?

Each week I will revisit my DB Watchlist to make sure I am spending my time focusing on those pairs with the best Clarity which increases the likelihood of follow-through (with the trend) and keeps me aware of when I am “swimming upstream” aka trading counter-trend.

We can go ’round and ’round about all the factors surrounding the Fed. I am frankly sick of it because it does not ask the RIGHT question: To what degree will your positions (including pending trades) be effected by the Fed? Anything else is just hyperbole.

The USD/JPY got everyone’s attention but for me this was mainly follow-through from last week’s pullbacks. I don’t want to scramble in with everyone else – I’d rather build a position on corrections when I have a trend.

Last week there was a move in comm-dolls that suggested that there may be strength as Japanese yen flooded the market looking for yield. Of course that all comes tumbling down – for now – but could that play reemerge?

There are three ways that a pair can land on your radar and not so coincidentally, there are three ways that you need to analyze/understand a pair too!

…I like to build trades around a single currency. In this way I can attack it from multiple angles (multiple pairs) where I can best take advantage of strength or weakness – preferably a trend.
