    Dear Pip Surfer,
First of all I would like to thank you for all the time and effort you put into this blog. All the charts you posted and videos you have made certainly helped me alot. I´ve been following this blog for almost 2 years now.
In the last couple of weeks I took the time to read EVERY single blog post and look at every single chart you and Big Pippin posted in this blog since 2007. I also wrote down every single trade and its result in an excel sheet. So I played around with the numbers a bit. I factored in a 3pip spread on every trade and looked at the results. The data showed that the system was very profitable in 2007 and 2008. In 2009 it still showed a net profit of around 500 pips but in 2010 it was even less. For 2011 its about breakeven so far.
So I would really like to hear some thoughts from you about the possible reasons for this declining performance. Is it just a matter of samplesize? Is it because you posted less in the last couple of years and the blog simply doesnt show as many trades and leaves out many winners? Have changes in the markets in recent years – especially for the cable – influenced the profitability of the system?
I know that the purpose of this blog is to show newbies like me some trading basics, get used to the charts and the movements of the cable, show how to follow a system with discipline etc. and not to provide a “holy grail”. But still I would be very thankful to hear some thoughts from you regarding my question. You can also PM me (pipstar41) if this isnt the right place to discuss such things.

Thanks a lot for your input and for keeping this blog alive over so many years!!

I would also be very interested as well. I’m very interested in trying out this strategy, but if it isn’t profitable any more I don’t really want to waste my time.
