Current Trend

The trend was up the entire day.

Today I only looked for long trades.

News events to watch for today :

Today’s Surf

1:15, 3:15, 6:30am EST- There was a moving crossover for a long trade. However on all 3 of these possible trades, MACD was already positive from the previous candle. This cancelled out the signal and I did not enter.

Hi, good to see you back. Around 10, 10:30( I can’t tell from the jpg), isn’t there a cross over? I know your candle wasn’t black. It seems like from the jpg, they crossed over.

    cheers,

Interesting- on the 06:30 crossover, fxcm histogram went from neg to pos resulting in a valid signal…

@leelar- It wasn’t a cross. The moving averages got very close to each other but did not make a cross. The black candles are automatically painted by my chart program to indicate any crossovers that do occur. Hope that helps.

@wildchancer- Unfortunately because of the different quoted prices from various brokers sometimes we will get differences. This shouldn’t happen frequently though and if it does make sure your settings are correct. Keep in mind that the histogram I am using is simply showing the difference between the 2 lines and displaying it in a bar format. Make sure that that is the information you are looking at. Hope that helps. Happy trading!

My chart on IT finance also showed a cross. The bid/ask is set on mid price. Is this correct or just an example of broker differences?
Thanks for all you do, it has helped me greatly.
