G20

Established in 1999, the Group of Twenty, more commonly referred to as G20, is a collection of Central Bank Heads and Finance ministers to discuss important global economic issues. Its member countries include: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Republic of Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, and United States of America. The European Monetary Union, represented by the ECB, is also a member of the G20.

Comprising two-thirds of the world’s population, the G20 countries make up as much as 90% of the world’s gross national product. It also represents more than 80% of global trade.
