About Pippin Ain't Easy

Pippin Ain't Easy Author Like the title of this blog suggests, making pips in the Forex is easier said than done. This "reality blog" will allow you to follow my life as a Forex trader. I'll not only discuss trades, but also my emotions during these trades. You'll see my ups and downs, my highs and lows, and my smiles and tears. This is the true story of one man, picked to live in front of his computer screen and find ways to make money off the Foreign Exchange. See what happens when markets stop being polite, and start being real!

Big Pippin's Forex Forecast: Thursday, 04/17/08

I'm not really big into fundamentals but I feel that they are important to discuss. In this section I will be posting fundamental tidbits that I find interesting from various sources. If you find an article that you think would benefit everyone, please email me (Big Pippin) with your username, the article, and a link to where members can read the entire article.

Now onto the Fundamentals:
  • G7 To Intervene In Dollar Crisis?
    • G7 finance ministers and central bankers on Friday said they were concerned about sharp fluctuations in major currencies since their February meeting. G7 comment implied that authorities could step into Dollar intervention, but trader and analysts doubt that would be done any time soon.
  • Paulson: Change rules for Wall Street
    • Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson proposed a set of sweeping changes on Monday aimed at modernizing the nation's financial system in what could herald the biggest regulatory overhaul of Wall Street since the Great Depression.

You were dead on with the GBP/USD yesterday. I have +125 pips locked in and my position is still open to see if we can't hit 1.9950 for a total of +212 pips. Do you have a post somewhere where you describe how you analyse the market? I could just keep following your advice and making pips, but I'd like to more learn for myself too. Teach a man to fish and all... Thanks so much for your input so far, Big Pippin!
