Main Trend

Current Trend= The trend remained down until 3am EDT. From 11pm - 3am EDT, a new trend change candle formed and changed the trend from down to UP. The trend remained up until 11am EDT. From 7am - 11am EDT, a new trend change candle formed and change trend from up back to DOWN. After 11am EDT, the trend remained down the rest of the day

Today I only looked for short trades until 3am EDT. From 3am to 11am EDT, I only looked for long trades, and from 11am EDT on out, I only looked for short trades again.

News events to watch for today :

4:30am EST- UK Manufacturing PMI

10:00am EST- US ISM Manufacturing

Thanks for the resonse. I like the straight forward confidence. High win % = inc s/l. Good. Before I ask this next question please know that i have trolled the forums for the answer and came across a few posts that appeared promissing but couldnt deliver. I am looking for an alert (sound/alarm) that i can set when my 5 and 10 EMA's cross. Something that can awaken me at night to watch the market. I am on metatrader via Interbank fx. Thanks a ton!

Dtrain8 go to http://www.alertfx.com/ and you will be able to set such alarm, every time 5 and 10 ema's cross you will get a text message to your cell phone, and the best part is that their services are free. To get best results delete the old alerts every night and set new ones. Pip surfer, i live in the east coast and i use to trade from midnight to noon, but with the time saving that went into effect on sunday, should i do it from 1am to 1 pm?? thanx again for all your help.

Wassup everybody! First off, I like to thank everybody for all the questions being asked and answered. I like this site, it seems as though everybody is out to help everyone. And I like that. But my question is this, at 9:59pm 11/3/08, I shorted the cable on a mini account 1 lot of 10,000. And I was in the trade til 10:28pm. I manage to get out with $3.50. When I went into the trade, I was down neg. $7.40. I set my stop lose at 25 pips. My trade went up to pos. $7.40 at one point I was in the trade. The trade didn't hit my target of 20 pips. And I didn't feel that it wasn't going to. So I get out with 3.5 pips. Was I wrong to get out. Cause once I got out. The trade started to really go in my favor. It went down as much as 100 plus pips. I was like dog. Can someone give me some insite, please!

I think it is a lot better to stay with cowabunga,at least for a start.But what about the 4 levels of candle stick trading.Where do I go for how to locate candle patterns on the BB.
