About The Loonie Adventures of a Forex Noob

The Loonie Adventures of a Forex Noob Author “Huck loves her bucks!” I always say. The problem, of course, is how to make those bucks!! In this blog, I'll be posting my adventures as I traverse the forex world, while trying to catch some pips along the way. To do this, I will make use of classical charting methods as well as develop my own mechanical system. After work, I will update you on what’s happened to me that day and how my trades went. Hopefully, by the end of this tale, I'll be able to achieve my goal of becoming a profitable currency trader.

Gah! So much for getting my hopes up! Just a few minutes after I updated my trade, EUR/USD went on an upward rally and stopped me out. Boo!… More…

HLHB Weekly Update - June 24, 2011

And once again, my HLHB system missed out on all the action in the charts this week. Boo! But my USD/CHF trade did pull a win! I'd say this was a decent week overall!… More…

USD/CHF: Short At First Sight

You know how people tell their stories of love at first sight? Well, it was like that with my USD/CHF trade. But I think it's more apt to describe my feeling as short at first sight. I hope I don't end up getting my heart broken like yesterday with my missed EUR/USD trade.… More…

EUR/USD: A New Trend Higher?

I'm doing it again. I'm going to buy the dip! This time, however, it's gonna be EUR/USD. While my plan on GBP/USD didn't work out too well last week, I'm hoping this time I'll get lucky!… More…

HLHB Weekly Update - June 17, 2011

Risk Aversion Plays on EUR/USD and USD/CHF

Here are the trade ideas I told y'all about on Twitter. Gosh, I hope at least one of 'em gets triggered. I haven't had a trade in what seems like forever! Now I have to keep my French-tipped fingers crossed for risk aversion to stay.… More…

HLHB Weekly Update - June 3, 2011

Remember that crossover I pointed out in my update last week? It turns out that my 30-pip filter kept me from catching a 300-pip move. Boo hoo! Poor lil' Huck just sat on the sidelines this week.… More…

USD/CHF: Riding the Downtrend

It's a bird, it's a plane... No! It's the Swissy soaring up the charts! Okay, that's corny. But you know what I mean. I'm gonna try to get in on the action and short USD/CHF. Gosh, I hope there are enough bears left to push the pair to a new all-time low.… More…
