Definition:
Treasury International Capital (TIC) data is collected using the TIC system, which collects the flow of cross-border portfolio investments and positions into and out of the United States. It is specifically designed to capture only financial transactions that involve both a U.S. resident and a foreign resident. Treasury securities, agency securities, corporate bonds, and corporate equities are all tracked.
