Philipp Hildebrand

Philipp Hildebrand is a former Chairman of the Swiss National Bank. He replaced Jean-Pierre Roth, who had served as the head of the central bank from 2006 to 2011.

In 2003, Hildebrand joined the Governing board of the SNB, where he was appointed as the Head of Department III, putting him in charge of Financial Markets, Banking Operations, and Information Technology. On May 1, 2007, he was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Governing Board, making him Head of Department II (Cash, Finance, Financial Systems, and Security).
