What is Forexpedia?

Forexpedia is the free forex encyclopedia started by forex traders and made specifically for forex traders. Forexpedia uses a special website called a wiki to allow all registered users to make edits and changes to almost all pages included in Forexpedia. Forexpedia terms are recorded on articles, which allow users to view article histories and recent page changes. We are always improving Forexpedia, whether it's by adding new features or additional categories and terms. So keep an eye out for weekly updates.

Who owns Forexpedia?

Forexpedia is owned and operated by BabyPips.com and the team known as the FX Men. Make your way over to the BabyPips.com About page to meet the team and learn a bit more about the Company.

Who is responsible for the articles on Forexpedia?

Forexpedia has been designed to be an open community driven by contributors and readers much like yourself. By running Forexpedia using Wiki technology, you have the ability to add new content, edit existing content and have discussions on various topics with other members through a single interface. The FX Men are continually making edits and additions to what already exists, as well as monitoring the content for relevant and not-so-relevant (vandalism) changes.

Ultimately, registered users are just as responsible for the content in Forexpedia as the FX Men are.

Should I create an account? Can I not just edit articles anonymously?

Do you need oxygen to breathe? Of course! Being a member of Forexpdia (and the rest of Babypips.com) not only increase your Coolness meter by a factor 10, but it also allows you to create new pages, edit existing pages and take part in community discussions with other registered members.

Does that sound Forextastic? Yea, ... I know, that was pretty bad...

How do you know if the information is correct?

How do you prevent people from vandalising articles or putting up pictures of their mothers?

There's nothing wrong with a picture of your mother. Now, if you use it to describe linear line regression, we might have a problem. Forexpedia employs certain technologies that allows us, the administrators, to block certain problem IP addresses, block problematic users, and revert any pages back to their original state. We even have the power to lock down certain pages that we do't want just anyone changing (e.g. the Main Page).

But we also look to you, the casual reader or Wunder-Editor to help us identify problem pages. Think "Neighborhood Watch". Everybody does a little to help keep the community clean and safe.

Which wiki software does Forexpedia run on?

Forexpedia runs on software dreamed up by the smarty-pants guys and gals at MediaWiki.

How big is Wikipedia?

That's a great question! Since started in October 2006, we currently have 797 articles waiting to be read.
