Italy, officially known as the Italian Republic, can be found in South-Central Europe. It is a unitary parliamentary republic whose capital is Rome. It is a founding member of the European Union and euro zone, and is a member of the G8, G20, and NATO.

Economy

Italy has the fourth largest economy in the euro zone and the seventh largest in the world in terms of nominal GDP.

It enjoys a high per capita GDP and has a free market economy.

Its export goods include engineering products, textiles and clothing, machinery, automobiles, transport equipment, chemicals, food, beverages and tobacco, minerals, and nonferrous metals. It conducts most of its trade with Germany and France, its two largest export and import partners.
