The CBI conducts a survey of manufacturers asking respondents to rate the level of industrial orders volume expected for the next three months. Unlike most economic reports, the survey gets qualitative information by asking what manufacturers think about the current and future business environment.

Data Release

The CBI industrial orders expectations is released monthly, around the third week of the month. A positive reading indicates that increasing order volume is expected while a negative reading reflects expectations for decreasing order volume.
