Started strong, finished… okay! While I’ve still got so much to improve on in my trading performance, I think my account fared better this quarter compared to my Q1 results. For starters, I was able to improve my win percentage from 25% to 40% and average gain per winning trade from 0.01% to 0.30%.
My average loss doubled though, as I took a nasty hit with my EUR/AUD short setups. Fortunately, the third time proved to be somewhat of a charm as I managed to escape with a small win when I exited this trade early.
I missed out on a couple of good trade opportunities in May, as I failed to catch the moves on AUD/USD and NZD/USD. I think I wasn’t feeling too focused in the markets back then, which explains why I was hesitant to take some valid setups that I spotted. At the end of the day, it seems that trading confidence is still an issue for me and that I would need to ramp up my efforts to improve on this.
Got any other tips that could help me improve my trading this third quarter? Let’s hear ’em!
