Since you take the time to post your trade system, why not post your trades in a way that we could all benefit from (profit or loss) instead of posting them after the events take place. Respectfully, Avi

Avedis- Excellent question. There are a couple of reasons why I don't post trades as they happen.

1) It distracts me from my own trading. Entries happen at the flip of a switch and I have to be fully focused and ready to make trades right as they happen.

2) The most important reason I don't post trades live is because in the long run, it DOESN'T really benefit you. I'm sure you've heard the saying "give a man a fish and he goes hungry again, but teach a man how to fish and he'll never go hungry again". If I simply give out trades, you don't learn anything. Instead, you depend on another person to give you profits. This blog was and always will be meant for people to learn off of. What you should be trying to get from this blog is how I take a simple system, follow the rules, and trade it with discipline each and every day. From here, you can either take this same system, tweak it, or even use a completely different system and apply some of the principles you learn from this blog to be the absolute best trader you can be. The system allows you to follow his Profit or Loss. If you use the system, you will be entering the same trades at the same time Pip Surfer is entering them. I do not know if this could be done in real-time or not but to me it would be a waste of time to post, because the signal could have past before the post is completed. I have been following since Jan. 08, and understand the system better than I thought I would. I am on Eastern Time, so I use an alarm to wake me up when a signal has been triggered (MA crossing). After checking the RSI and MACD, it becomes my decision to take the trade or not take the trade. I do not need Pip Surfer to point out if the trade is valid or not, because he has already taught me what to look for in the Postings he has provided.

Hi Pip Surfer, Great answer. I subscribed to a service that called trades for 3 months, and I didn't learn half of what I've learned from you. I quit the service even though it was profitable because I felt that it kept me from developing my own skills and judgement as a trader. Having to be responsible for making the trades myself and then being able to compare them to your results is much more useful. Thanks for all your work!

Thank you for your response, I would have responded exactly the same way recognizing that my question might not have been clear and I agree with everything you said. I'm averaging 129 pips/week on my own. However, when I point something out to my group, it is designed both to teach and point out a potential trade. At that point, each individual makes their decision if they see a trade or not. I hope that is clearer and I respect your input and comments. Avi

pipsurfer, just need to know weather i should be using a " ema" or " sma " rsi when applying the cowabonga system. thanks

Pipsurfer, Dude, I just read your answer to the query from avedis. You are absolutely on the button with your reply. You have taught me a whole lot and I continue to learn with your every post. You don't need to give more, just maintaining what you do, gives me and many others so much more confidence in the market place. You had me going on April 1st. Top man!
