Chartology

With "Chartology", you'll be sitting in the front row as I discuss price action analysis, market cycles, chart pattern setups, optimal trading time and volatility analysis, as well as the psychology behind price action. Put these tools together and you're looking at how to begin mastering the charts. In fact, be sure to watch the "Your Forex Questions Answered" video here.

Every day, occasionally more often, I'll additionally discuss order entry, U.S. Dollar Index, crude oil, gold, and the Dow. Forex trading allows and requires a viewpoint that goes beyond simply analyzing the pairs. I'll explain in detail how I scan for trades — I call it "triage" — how I set up trades proactively, and how I manage entries and risk. Trading isn't all that diffcult but the process of finding your tools and approach and trusting them is. So here's your front row in my trading office, thanks for reading, let's get going!

Want a look at my open and pending trades?

The USD/JPY got everyone's attention but for me this was mainly follow-through from last week's pullbacks. I don't want to scramble in with everyone else - I'd rather build a position on corrections when I have a trend.

Comm-dolls take it on the chin

Last week there was a move in comm-dolls that suggested that there may be strength as Japanese yen flooded the market looking for yield. Of course that all comes tumbling down - for now - but could that play reemerge?

Understanding How Individual Currency Stories Effect Trades

...I like to build trades around a single currency. In this way I can attack it from multiple angles (multiple pairs) where I can best take advantage of strength or weakness - preferably a trend.

The details of my GBP/NZD Short & How I trade economic events explained!

I outline the process I go through to see if the volatility is something that leads to a trade entry. You see I am not trading the volatility for the sake of the movement alone - I am MORE interested in where that price movement leads the pair.

Keep your head up and eyes forward.

These last two weeks my open trades list has been active. It's easy to get caught up in simply managing the positions and not think about making sure that when I eventually scale out of these trades I will have others to enter and manage. That's why it is so important to have an active RADAR.

Webinar: Mistakes that Traders Need to Recognize

This is a webinar I recently did and I think there's plenty here for both the new and experienced traders to benefit from. The idea is to be honest about mistakes I made very early on in my career and to share points that are not the usual "mistakes" that are often discussed.

Weekend (mini) Webinar: Trading Styles

Today in the Forex in the Morning chat, I had a question about "scalping" and how that fits in to a trader's strategy. Ah, not an easy question when trying to categorize what market trend "scalping" fits into but it is a style that many traders employ so in this video I explain what it is and what environment it is best suited for!
